All good skin regimen must have three basic steps: cleansing, moisturizing, toning and protecting. Basic skin care starts with washing the face with lots of water, then using appropriate cleanser, then applying moisturizer(on dry skin) or toner (on oily skin) and protecting it with sunblock.
Using water at room temperature or tap water is the best option rather than too hot and too cold water since, this will only dries up the skin. Cold or hot water will temporary close the pores, but the it will go back to normal once you perspire.
Soaping the face should be applied in circular motion and never leave the soap longer than ten minutes, then rinse it gently but thoroughly. Pat dry with soft cloth but don’t rub. Lastly apply moisturizer or toner while face still damp. Bingo you’ve done washing your face like derma..
