In some point I feel frustrated and disappointed towards myself. I think I have wasted so many years and still I don’t have any insurance. I do blame myself for that anyway. I feel like I don’t need insurance. However, now that my husband and I are turning 50 I suppose I need something that could protect my young boys.

The truth is, I don’t have wealth to cover my boy’s future if something happens to me or my husband. I know their three elder siblings could help the two. But, it’s not their responsibility and I don’t want to obligate them. If I could return time, I wish I purchased cheap term life insurance. As for now, I doubt if there will be an insurance company that would grant me what I need. And if there is, it will be not be affordable. I can’t turn back time. I can no longer do anything about it, but hope for the best.

Last week my second child was assigned in Cagayan. Lucky this time he will be riding in a plane. The flight route in this area from our City just started not long ago. And he is so happy he doesn’t have to travel by land again, which is eight to nine hours.

For that reason, he felt like bringing along sufficient number of clothes. Before, he opts to bring only five even though he will be staying there for a month. Fortunately, his sister has a large Eagle Creek luggage where he can put all his clothes and stuff. And, there is an extra space more for some presents. Yepey! We are accustomed to bringing yummy presents whenever somebody returns from a travel.

It is a fact that television sets is becoming a fixture in most rooms of our houses, it’s no wonder that children are already starting to show in school the negative effects that much exposure to TV shows has. One of the doctor said that, children who have TVs in their bedrooms are more prone to bad behavior and alienation, which should come as a warning signal that parents should start taking a more active role in their children’s lives.

Many youngsters start school without even being able to hold a normal conversation because they communicate so little with their parents. Most of the kids also have TV sets in their bedrooms and spend countless hours in front of them, even doing homework and having dinner with the TV switched on. The downside to this is that children are more aggressive towards each other, engaging in the type of conflicts that they should not even be familiar with at their age and employing the vocabulary they see in comedies and reality shows.

More types of behavior encouraged by TV shows, in the sense that children who watch too many of them feel compelled to emulate, are swearing, causing a scene by storming out of the class and talking back to the teachers. Too much exposure to TV also leads to alienation, in that kids are not able to properly communicate with anyone, be them a child their own age or someone older, like a parent or a teacher.
