DSC00221

This photo was taken last August when my daughters and I bond together and join the City’s Annual festivities. For years, I haven’t notice this spot until that time. So, I took the opportunity to take even one snap and share it here. I like it a lot because this is located in the heart of the City. It’s refreshing to see a glimpse of nature in the midst of hassle and bustle of the City.

don’t let problem rule

Wednesday

Nowadays, I don’t let my problem rule over me and ruin my day. Despite the fact that we are experiencing financial problems I still look in the brighter side that my family is healthy and intact. I know this state is just temporary because we are doing everything we can to earn. And God is always there to help us, and He will not give us problem we can’t handle.

Of course, in some way it affects me. Good thing, I have outdoor furniture where I can relax and sip some coffee. It’s a relief to breathe fresh air whenever problems arise. After doing so, I can get back on track. And it helps me to think of better ways to answer whatever my difficulty is.

  • consequence of being fat

For the past 20 years I already accepted the fact that I am fat, really fat for my height. I think I already mentioned somewhere in this blog that I am feeling a lot of pains like ankle, knee, back pain and even hints of high blood pressure. But, I am not sure because I haven’t been to a physician.

My children are against my size. They are luring me to go on diet. Even my 16 year old son (fourth child) bought a dance pad for me to play during my free time. Sad thing is, I don’t have the stamina to go on diet. Whenever I feel so hungry, I’ll sneak into the fridge without them knowing it. And, I am so lazy to play the dance pad.

Hmmm. I have all the excuse I can think of. Well, I am still waiting for the fat burner my eldest daughter last three months. I don’t know what happened because she used to do whatever she promised. Probably she is in a tight budget as she will be paying her sister’s finals and after two weeks enrollment again. I’ll just wait for it, I guess.

  • Drinking Linked to Hypertension

Drinking Linked to HypertensionAs the holiday’s approaches, a study alerts drinkers that drinking outside of meals may be setting them up for high blood pressure.

The study, published in the journal Hypertension, has shown that consuming alcohol mostly without   food is a significant risk factor for developing hypertension. The effect was present even in people with light-to-moderate alcohol intake, according to lead researcher.

These findings support the notion that in addition to amount, the way in which alcohol is consumed   may have important implications for health and in particular, for cardiovascular disease. Therefore, this point out that drinking without food may counteract any benefit to the cardiovascular system associated with moderate alcohol consumption.

Keeping Fit While Pregnant Walking And Swimming Through The TrimestersExercising while you’re expecting is important for a number of reasons. You’ll sleep better, avoid fatigue, and enjoy an easier pregnancy. There are many types of activities you can do to stay in shape as a mother-to-be. Among them, walking and swimming are ideal. Both are cardiovascular, which means they will improve your body’s use of oxygen; that’s good for both you and your little one. Plus, both are low-impact. You’ll enjoy developing muscle tone and keeping excess weight off while avoiding putting undue stress on your joints. Below, we’ll provide some tips that you can use to walk and swim to stay fit throughout your pregnancy.

    The First Three Months

If you don’t normally exercise, start slowly. It’s less exerting to swim, so you can safely do so for a half hour each day. A lot of moms-to-be enjoy doing it in the morning because the weightless sensation of being in the water helps to curb nausea. Plus, working out in the morning gives you an energetic boost to get through the rest of the day.

When you walk during your first trimester, you’ll need to take more care, especially if you’re doing so in the sun. Use sunscreen, wear a hat, and have plenty of drinking water available. wear loose fitting maternity clothes or extra comfort. If your body suffers dehydration, it can trigger contractions. If you rarely exercised before getting pregnant, start with a 20-minute lazy stroll. Then, increase your speed as your body grows accustomed to the activity. (more…)

  • something I did not prepare

In some point I feel frustrated and disappointed towards myself. I think I have wasted so many years and still I don’t have any insurance. I do blame myself for that anyway. I feel like I don’t need insurance. However, now that my husband and I are turning 50 I suppose I need something that could protect my young boys.

The truth is, I don’t have wealth to cover my boy’s future if something happens to me or my husband. I know their three elder siblings could help the two. But, it’s not their responsibility and I don’t want to obligate them. If I could return time, I wish I purchased cheap term life insurance. As for now, I doubt if there will be an insurance company that would grant me what I need. And if there is, it will be not be affordable. I can’t turn back time. I can no longer do anything about it, but hope for the best.
