interesting book in photographyI have been hearing a lot of things about gold coins as investment products. There are lots of websites and blogger sites that tackle about this. From reading several articles, I came to understand the value of investing in this unique item.

There are also people who love to collect these coins not as investment, but as passion. However, seldom do I hear about collecting photograph coins. But, as I investigate further about the subject matter I came to realize that I am already left behind. The truth is, there is already a book in the market that teaches photograph collector the proper way to take coin pictures.

The book is called Numismatic Photography published by Zyrus Press and authored by Mark Goodman. It teaches the reader in an easy-to-read and visually rich guidebook format on how to image quality photos of coins with your digital camera. Whether the collector is using a digital camera for the first time or you already have experience in other fields of photography, Goodman addresses typical problems faced by the photographer, recommends ways of improvements and offers specific tips and techniques for raw and slabbed coins.

Members of the coin collectors club will definitely find this book an impressive addition to their arsenal of knowledge. Numismatic Photography book is recommended for anyone interested in making better coin photos, or in learning how these images are made because it unveils the secrets of quality digital photography through a structured, systematic approach that is easy to apply, simple to learn and guaranteed to produce spectacular results.

Some of the chapters included are Imaging Concepts, Color and Luster, High Contrast Coins, Low Contrast Coins, Toned Coins, Special Imaging Techniques and Image Presentation, among others. The book also includes two appendices: a Troubleshooting Guide and General Rules for Coin Photography. And this book is now available in bookstores nationwide, your local coin shop, or Amazon.com. You can also order from Zyrus Press by mailing to PO Box 17810, Irvine, California 92623, calling (888) 622-7823, or online at Zyrus Press.

I really find this book interesting just like my interest in coin investments. However, this doesn’t suit me well because I don’t have any lots of coins to photograph to begin with. And, I don’t even have a camera, the reason I don’t place pictures in this blog.
