another gold news

Wednesday
Mar 31,2010

Every once in a while, I tried to look at the gold market to see whether or not it is time to buy gold bullion. I’ve been hearing a lot of things about it that makes me a little interested to try. But, the truth is, it’s just an imagination. I don’t have the right attitude and the right amount of money to be an investor.

Anyway, while I was checking I learned that the gold market is booming and investors are taking note. They have seen a significant increase in the price in gold since the U.S. economy took a turn for the worst and the U.S. dollar began slumping. This happens because dollar and gold works inversely to each other. That is the reason many people see gold as a safe investment when they do not feel safe about the current value of the dollar.

The precious metal market is always moving, but the signs have never been clearer: now is the time to invest. Take hold of your future and secure a valuable commodity.

Basically, helping your child move from breast milk or formula to solids is a milestone for both you and your baby. However, it can be challenging for some parents. Here are some tips and tricks in introducing solid foods to your baby. Do remember, however, that you should follow your pediatrician’s advice if you’re in doubt.

    • Start with fruits – one tip I’ve heard from various is to start with fruits. Use really ripe bananas, mashed with a fork. Or sweet potatoes (baked, with the insides scooped out).
    • Use a baby food grinder – You can try small bits of real rice, mixed with meats (without seasonings). The meat should be meshed with baby food grinder (you can find these pretty cheap).
    • Don’t feed your baby directly from the jar – This is an interesting tip I’ve heard from experienced mothers. Feeding your baby directly from the jar is not a good idea. Their saliva can mix with the food and make it taste bad. Put the food in a mug rather than a bowl so that you can feed baby more easily.
    • Keep away the sweet tooth – Try not to give baby sweet stuff at this stage. Deliberately give them vegetables before fruits to keep away that sweet tooth.
    • Wait for the first tooth – It is a good idea to wait until your baby gets his / her first tooth before even thinking of starting solids. One baby I heard got his first tooth at 5 months and began showing interest in what his father was eating shortly thereafter. At about 6 months, he was reaching for his parents’ food.

As a mother, I am always on the look out to protect my kids from getting harmed. I don’t want them to experience a bad situation like getting involved in some sort of addiction just like some unfortunate kids do. My heart breaks to see those kids get into trouble even if they are celebrities or ordinary youngsters.

It’s not long that I learned very delicate news about somebody who got too high over drugs. Good thing his parents’ had enough money and sends him immediately into a rehab for about a month. Now he is living his life away from here and start to rebuild what he has lost in the past.

However, there are some kids like Lindsay Lohan perhaps, who keeps on returning to addiction despite the many chances handed to her. It’s easy for her I guess because she has the money to pay for treatment centers over and over again. Just recently she joins a treatment facility again. But, I don’t know if she chooses the passages malibu Addiction Cure center. But, that is her choice or her parents choice. But, if she doesn’t have the money, I guess she will just die being an addict.

Anyway, I have been reading passages malibu reviews for some time now. What interests me? Basically, it is the fact that this center offers a unique approach to holistic drug and alcohol abuse recovery in which they treat the underlying cause of addiction that gave me interests about it.

Other than that, they also offer high level of treatment as well as privacy that is why many celebrities have attended the center. There is this passages malibu facility tour in youtube that shows the beauty of their facility. I can’t help, but admire it.

Even if that is the case, I still don’t want to see my kids in there. It’s not only that I don’t have the money to pay for it, I also don’t have the heart to deal with it.

My second child is planning to get a car for his convenience. He is being intoxicated having to commute every day going to and from work. Well, finding a cab every morning isn’t easy. Most of the time students and employees like him hustle to get a cab to avoid getting late. If no cabĀ  is available, then they don’t have a choice. They have to hustle again to get a space in public jeepney, which is the most inconvenient way to go to work.

Even if he is looking for an affordable car, he doesn’t ignore those of luxury sports car like nissan maxima. He even cuts a picture of this car and places it right beside his bed. It’s a good way to motivate him to work better every day.

Anyway, this sedan car promises all the space and utility of the average family car mixed with the brute power and handling of your average Z. I guess the most promising feature is the taillight and headlight designs that are totally unique in the car marketplace. To top it off, the Maxima comes with flared wheelwells and low-profile tires mounted on eye-catching alloys.

This car has really something to say for car buyers. But, of course this is just part of the plan and not the main plan yet. Probably in the future he will be able to enjoy riding this luxury sports car.

ways to establish healthy sleep habits

    Sunday
    Mar 28,2010

Even before, I always encounter problems in terms of my kids sleeping time. Sometimes I could not control the situation and give in to my child’s requests most often. If only I found these tips before my first child, they probably have lots of sleep during their childhood.

Here are some ways, how to establish healthy sleep habits.

Establish a bed time routine. Knowing what to expect is soothing and reassuring for a child. It gets his body into a pattern, so that he is tired at the same time every night. Give him a lead time of 30 minutes to an hour before lights out. This should include bathing, putting on pajamas, brushing teeth and hearing a bedtime story.

Keep the evening calm. After a busy day, kids need a peaceful transition to a quiet evening. After dinner activities should be relaxing, such as reading stories, drawing or playing board games.

Do not bend the rules. Simply establishing a routine will not suddenly make your child willing to sleep at night. Be firm. If you agree to read two books at night, don’t give in to his request for one more because he may eventually feel that he can change the rules.

Offer choices. Since you are not giving your child the option of staying up past bedtime or skipping brushing his teeth, try to find other chances for him to make decisions. But having too many choices can be too overwhelming for him. Narrow it down to two acceptable alternatives.

Prevent night frights. Before you turn out the lights, look in the closet and under the bed together so your child can see that there are no creatures hiding there. A small night light will help keep him feeling safe throughout the night.

Create comfortable environment. Your child will be more likely to stay in bed if he feels safe and happy in his room. Most importantly, do not use his room for timeouts. Choose another location for this so as not to make this a scary place to be in.

  • unhappy about the rain

    Friday
    Mar 26,2010

It’s a good thing that it has been raining for two straight nights. Hopefully, this will go on to fill up the almost exhausted dams. Well, I should be hearing praises because the rain helps a lot in cooling the temperature. But, I’m hearing some complaints from my daughter.

Basically, she is not irritated about the rain, but to the leaks in their house. They did not resolve the problem because they have plans of moving out. However, since there is a big tendency that it will rain for the next few days, thanks to the storm, she already feels stressed by the situation.

Good thing she doesn’t have a basement to worry. But, she surely needs something like a basement dehumidifier to control moisture level and dampness. We all know moisture encourages the growth of bacteria and molds, which are harmful to the health.

Anyway, I am lucky for not experiencing something like that. I am just happy to hear more rains is possible in the future.
