Last year, the city government ordered to do waste segregation. This has to be done in order to help save nature and fight global warming. But, it seems like only few follow the order. I can still see a combination of waste in the waste bin. Even so, I still continue doing the segregation because I know in my own little way I’m helping.
Currently, I’m throwing my biodegradable in the right waste bin. But, I’m planning to purchase a compost bin. I thought my garden can benefit a lot from the compost I can make from those waste. I’m not too serious with my plants before, but when the flowers started to bloom I feel like giving them extra attention and care. Giving fertilizer is the way to nourish the plants, but it’s much better to use the organic fertilizer, which is through making the fertilizer by myself.
Although you do not have suffered from a jealous sibling or have acted like a jealous vindictive spoiled kid against your sister or brother when you were young and immature, you have probably heard that jealousy between siblings can be a very powerful emotion leading children and parents to deal with all sorts of unexpected “thrills.” Neglected older children or “babies” that cannot get over the fact that they are not alone in world compete against each other in order to gain their parents’ attention. This annoying situation can become an endless source of competition and rivalry between siblings. Thus, the following five tips were collected to assist parents in managing jealousy and bringing harmony back into their homes.
It’s been more than a month since my daughter left the country. Some say I should move forward, but to be honest it’s not that easy. I still have a hard time missing her. It’s not like this is her first time moving out of my place, she already lived with her boyfriend for three years. But, she can always come home whenever she wants it or whenever I invite her. This time, we have to wait for a year or two before she can come visit me. This is the reason I’m keeping myself busy in whatever things I can think of. One of those things is web surfing.
Basically, web surfing has become my pastime ever since I learned to use computer. This time what takes my mind away from my worries is the vga to hdmi cables. I Google what it is for, but until now I’m still unsure what it’s used for. It’s a very technical term, which I’m not really good. I read quite a few articles and even forums, but it just consumes my time and yet I still don’t understand it. The good thing, it takes my mind away from missing my daughter.
Another “ber” month is coming to an end. Time indeed fly so fast. Before I realize it we will be celebrating Christmas again, which is my favorite time of the year other than birthdays. Speaking of which, I think it’s time to plan for Christmas gifts 2011. I already made my Christmas list that comprise mainly of my family and few close friends and relatives.
My duty now is to find the best gift that suits each person. I still have two months to do that. But, like I said time flies fast so I don’t have to waste it to find the perfect gift. I don’t want to give anything for the sake of giving; I want to give something that creates value for the receiver. It’s much more important to collect great smiles and love as a return especially from my family.
Though it is impossible to draw up a list of list of hard and fast rules and methods for parenting, simply because not all family situations are alike, and not all children respond to parenting methods in the same way. If this is so, does that make any talk of ‘learning’ about parenting useless? Absolutely not! While methods may have differing effects, and every situation calls for a different set of rules, the things that should remain constant are the basic concepts each parent must learn. These concepts will help guide parents in their constant effort to be better parents.
Unconditional Love – Unconditional love is one of the concepts that should permeate every action and every interaction between parent and child. It is also one of the most misunderstood concepts. How a parent expresses this to the child may very well determine how the child views himself, and his/her worth.
Many children grow up with a low sense of self-esteem as a result of many different factors. They may feel that the love they are shown depends on their accomplishments. Or, they may feel unwanted, or unloved. All parents should, early on, be certain to show their children how important they are, no matter what, so that they can grow-up loving in the same way. This concept is very important in building self-worth.
Responsibility – Children should grow up with a sense of responsibility for their actions, and the things around them. Far too many children grow up to be irresponsible parents, friends, and family, not caring or not knowing how to care, and to accept their own responsibilities.
Children who grow without a sense of responsibility too often find themselves blaming other people for things they should be dealing with themselves. Alternately, lack of responsibility training could cause children to blame themselves for things that they have no control over. This is an opposite, but equally undesirable problem. Responsible children learn to care for and properly manage their time and resources – and ultimately your time and resources as a parent as well! (more…)
Recently, I’m trying to learn new technologies because I don’t want to be left out like other oldies out there. Actually, it’s my children that motivate me to do so. They don’t want me to get stuck up as unknowledgeable about simply technology like social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. I’m glad I tried it because I enjoyed connecting to lots of people. I was able to get in touch with my friends and relatives. It was the place I get to learn that my niece is taking up a cosmetology course in preparation to work abroad. Without it, I will never know about it.
Whenever I speak of cosmetology I constantly remember the cosmetology school of Regency Beauty Institute. Regency is the fastest growing beauty school in the country, which already has 80 (and counting) campuses across 19 US states. They bring unique approach to cosmetology education by emulating upscale salons and providing an exceptional education that benefits the students, the salon community, and the public. As part of their training, students provide high-quality, discounted salon services to the public under expert faculty supervision. Currently, Regency graduates are recognized and sought after throughout the United States.
