According to the entertainment news, singer Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon are expecting their first child: after a recent performance in Brazil, Radar Online is now able to confirm that, indeed, the diva is four months pregnant.

Though this is not the first time rumors of this type get out in the media, there can hardly be any doubt about it this time: after trying repeatedly to get pregnant, the singer is finally with child. The reason Mariah and Nick are not confirming this for the media is that they would rather they kept the happy news to themselves, perhaps out of fear that something might go wrong. Though Mariah shares a very close relationship with her fans, she has solid reason for choosing not to disclose this information to them just yet – but she will probably do so in a few months.

“Nick has been telling friends how excited he is to be a dad. Mariah has tried so hard to get pregnant. She definitely wanted to get pregnant. She’s also very excited. She wants to wait as close to full term as possible before going public with the news to her fans,” a source close to the singer says for Radar. (more…)

Stars often have to make personal sacrifices to make a character more believable, and Kristin knows that only too well, because she’s completely overhauled her lifestyle just recently. Ever since she joined the “True Blood” cast and, most important, ever since she went to the first wardrobe fitting, the star has been weighing a constant battle against the flab. This is not only about not gaining weight, she explains in a recent interview with People magazine, but rather about fitting the clothes on the show – and looking her best.

“The other day I realized as long as I’m in this business, I’m going to be hungry,” Kristin reveals to People when asked is she’s on any special diet for the hit series. She’s only half joking, she goes on to explain. Her first wardrobe fitting also represented the moment she realized that she need to really spice up her workout routine and cut down on certain foods on the daily menu. “During that first wardrobe fitting, I knew I would have my midriff showing. I thought, ‘I need to get serious’ and started going to ab classes more regularly,” she explains. At least, she’s not in it alone, since the entire cast goes through the same.

According to her SCRAM device reported and based on what the media is saying, Lindsay Lohan may already be off the sobriety bandwagon. After the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, the alcohol-monitoring device went red, which means it detected traces of alcohol in Lindsay’s blood, which in turns means that the star may have violated the conditions of her parole. While Lohan insists she didn’t drink anything the entire night, she may already be in deep trouble, People magazine says.

“Something set off Lindsay Lohan’s alcohol-monitoring bracelet – and that set off a judge. An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for the actress by the same Los Angeles judge who earlier issued a warrant when Lohan failed to show up to court. Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel found Lohan violated the terms of her bail and upped her bail to $200,000. A bond was later posted, sparing Lohan from being arrested until a hearing takes place next month,” People write.

“A source close to the case tells People the court-ordered alcohol-monitoring bracelet, called a SCRAM device, was triggered Sunday evening during an MTV Movie Awards after-party. District Attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison says the device was set off by ‘an alcohol-related violation.’ Lohan, 23, was fitted with the bracelet last month as part of her probation case after two DUI convictions. On her Twitter page, Lohan denies being in violation of bail. ‘My scram wasn’t set off,’ she writes in a series of Tweets full of misspellings, grammar errors and profanity,” the mag further says.

Wow! It may have just been the first big awards show of the year, but Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep shared a win – and a kiss – at the 15th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in Hollywood, making for an entertaining night.

This has been presented by the Broadcast Film Critics Association; the Critics’ Choice is considered an accurate prediction of Oscar winners. The Hurt Locker emerged as the big winner of the night taking home two top awards (best picture of the year and best director). Director Kathryn Bigelow’s win made her the first female ever to take best director honors at this awards ceremony – something that would too make history at the Academy Awards. She received a standing ovation from ex-husband and fellow nominee, Avatar’s James Cameron.

For the best actor category in a leading role, Jeff Bridges was bestowed the top honor. Fellow nominee George Clooney was absent as, according to his rep, he prepares to host the Jan. 22 Haiti telethon. Other winners were: Mo’nique for best supporting actress for her role in Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire; Inglourious Basterds’s Christoph Waltz for best supporting actor; The Hangover for best comedy movie; and Avatar for winning best action movie.

The star-studded night also saw Matt Damon and wife Luciana chatting with Morgan Freeman. Zac Efron and Zoe Saldana shared some banter as they presented best song together, and a newly single Susan Sarandon stepped up in a sexy cocktail dress to present the best picture award.
