While premiering the romantic comedy “Just Go With It” in Spain, Jennifer Aniston unveiled a shorter, lighter ‘do: a blonde bob. Her stylist explains it, saying it was time for a change. Fans of the actress must already know that she’s not the type than changes her hairstyle every other month, which would explain why the mere fact that she got highlights is making headlines.

However, the new bobbed ‘do came even more of a shock since she unveiled it two days after appearing in Berlin with her older hairstyle. Her stylist, Chris McMillan, explains why the decision was so sudden and what it was exactly that prompted it: Jen didn’t want to look like one of the Housewives of Beverly Hills.

As for why they went with a bob instead of a shorter, layered ‘do, McMillan says it’s back on trend again. McMillan is the same stylist responsible for the insanely popular hairstyle known as “The Rachel” that Aniston debuted on the television series “Friends” and which is one of the most copied celebrity hairstyles of all times.

This weekend Nicole Richie is getting married to longtime lover and the father of her children, Joel Madden, reports say. The ceremony will be super private – so small that not even her childhood friend Paris Hilton is invited. Though no official announcement has been made in this sense, paparazzi spotted a lot of activity at Lionel Richie’s (Nicole’s adoptive father) house, prompting speculation that the wedding may take place this weekend – today, in fact.

However, the petite reality star doesn’t want to make a big deal of it, where from the aforementioned lack of an official announcement. In fact, reports cited that she wants the wedding to be such an intimate affair that she deliberately left out Paris Hilton, her former BFF (“best friend forever”), childhood friend and co-star in the series “The Simple Life.”

“Nicole’s wedding will be super small, and a lot of people who have played a role in her life like Paris have been cut from the guest list. Nicole cut down the guest list because she didn’t want a huge wedding. She didn’t invite a bunch of her celeb friends. This has apparently upset a lot of people. Of course, this really isn’t that surprising, especially since the two haven’t been seen together in a very long time, confirming rumors that they had officially cooled off and went their separate ways years ago,” the spy goes on to say.

British actor Tom Hardy, whom fans saw last in this summer’s “Inception” blockbuster, is officially the hottest commodity in Hollywood right now: his name has just been thrown in the mix with that of Angelina Jolie. Disney movies may be a hit with audiences of all ages, but Disney movies adapted into live action films actually have more potential of being money-makers. Add into the mix Angelina Jolie’s name, officially the highest grossing women in Hollywood right now, and that of Tom Hardy, and we might have a huge hit coming our way, ScreenCrave reports.

“Unlike the animated Disney film that we’re so used to seeing, this one will have a twist! It’s called Snow White and The Huntsman and ‘it’ boy Tom Hardy is up for the role of ‘The Huntsman’ while Angelina Jolie is being courted to play the villainess. The project takes a revisionist buddy movie spin on the tale, seeing the titular huntsman being hired by the evil queen to track down her runaway stepdaughter, the fairest in all the land. When he realizes that the queen intends to kill Snow White, he helps her escape, and the pair go on the run,” the movie-oriented e-zine says.

Jolie has already been approached with an offer and, while there’s no word yet on whether she plans to accept it, her schedule would certainly allow her to shoot it in 2011. Tom, on the other hand, is very close to signing on the dotted line, the aforementioned e-zine notes: if he takes the offer, he will probably start working on the film in between “This Means War” (now shooting) and “Batman 3” (to which he’s rumored to be attached).

WENN conducted a poll with its readers, to try and find out which celebrity they’re most likely to emulate, Glamour Magazine informs.

Not at all surprisingly, Jolie was voted the most inspiring celebrity, winning the top distinction of being the “Best Celebrity Role Model.” Angelina Jolie has been voted the ‘best celebrity role model.’ The actress and UN Goodwill Ambassador, who was snapped last week visiting the victims of flood-stricken Pakistan, received a whopping 44% of the votes registered online,” Glamour Magazine added.

“Angelina was followed by George Clooney who got 18% of the vote for his role as a UN Messenger of Peace. A surprise appearance in the chart was Disney singer and actress Miley Cyrus, who actually managed to defeat U2’s leading man, Bono himself. Teen queen Miley Cyrus and U2 frontman Bono were even stevens at joint third with 16% of the vote, while The Jonas Brothers came in at fifth place with 6%,” the publication further says.

According to the entertainment news, singer Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon are expecting their first child: after a recent performance in Brazil, Radar Online is now able to confirm that, indeed, the diva is four months pregnant.

Though this is not the first time rumors of this type get out in the media, there can hardly be any doubt about it this time: after trying repeatedly to get pregnant, the singer is finally with child. The reason Mariah and Nick are not confirming this for the media is that they would rather they kept the happy news to themselves, perhaps out of fear that something might go wrong. Though Mariah shares a very close relationship with her fans, she has solid reason for choosing not to disclose this information to them just yet – but she will probably do so in a few months.

“Nick has been telling friends how excited he is to be a dad. Mariah has tried so hard to get pregnant. She definitely wanted to get pregnant. She’s also very excited. She wants to wait as close to full term as possible before going public with the news to her fans,” a source close to the singer says for Radar.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it time and time again – when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her. We all know it’s extremely personal, and it is for a woman to deal with things with her body, and especially when dealing with the idea of childbirth and all that stuff,” Cannon said, when it came to talk about Mariah’s definitely heavier figure.

Stars often have to make personal sacrifices to make a character more believable, and Kristin knows that only too well, because she’s completely overhauled her lifestyle just recently. Ever since she joined the “True Blood” cast and, most important, ever since she went to the first wardrobe fitting, the star has been weighing a constant battle against the flab. This is not only about not gaining weight, she explains in a recent interview with People magazine, but rather about fitting the clothes on the show – and looking her best.

“The other day I realized as long as I’m in this business, I’m going to be hungry,” Kristin reveals to People when asked is she’s on any special diet for the hit series. She’s only half joking, she goes on to explain. Her first wardrobe fitting also represented the moment she realized that she need to really spice up her workout routine and cut down on certain foods on the daily menu. “During that first wardrobe fitting, I knew I would have my midriff showing. I thought, ‘I need to get serious’ and started going to ab classes more regularly,” she explains. At least, she’s not in it alone, since the entire cast goes through the same.

“We are all working out like crazy and have diets. All the women walk by Craft services and keep going. I don’t even know why we walk by, we’re just torturing ourselves,” the actress jokes. And while this may actually seem a torture to many, Kristin says she finds motivation precisely in her daily job on the show. “After any wardrobe fitting, I hit the gym three times more than the week before,” she also says in the same interview.

According to her SCRAM device reported and based on what the media is saying, Lindsay Lohan may already be off the sobriety bandwagon. After the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, the alcohol-monitoring device went red, which means it detected traces of alcohol in Lindsay’s blood, which in turns means that the star may have violated the conditions of her parole. While Lohan insists she didn’t drink anything the entire night, she may already be in deep trouble, People magazine says.

“Something set off Lindsay Lohan’s alcohol-monitoring bracelet – and that set off a judge. An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for the actress by the same Los Angeles judge who earlier issued a warrant when Lohan failed to show up to court. Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel found Lohan violated the terms of her bail and upped her bail to $200,000. A bond was later posted, sparing Lohan from being arrested until a hearing takes place next month,” People write.

“A source close to the case tells People the court-ordered alcohol-monitoring bracelet, called a SCRAM device, was triggered Sunday evening during an MTV Movie Awards after-party. District Attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison says the device was set off by ‘an alcohol-related violation.’ Lohan, 23, was fitted with the bracelet last month as part of her probation case after two DUI convictions. On her Twitter page, Lohan denies being in violation of bail. ‘My scram wasn’t set off,’ she writes in a series of Tweets full of misspellings, grammar errors and profanity,” the mag further says.

Other sources, presumably close friends of the star, insist that device could have been triggered even if she did not drink and if someone spilled alcohol on it. Lindsay, on the other hand, is adamant she’s being set up, saying the media is making up lies to make her look bad in front of the judge and maybe even get her behind bars.

Bullock and Streep KISS And Tie For ‘Critics Choice Award’

Wow! It may have just been the first big awards show of the year, but Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep shared a win – and a kiss – at the 15th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in Hollywood, making for an entertaining night.

This has been presented by the Broadcast Film Critics Association; the Critics’ Choice is considered an accurate prediction of Oscar winners. The Hurt Locker emerged as the big winner of the night taking home two top awards (best picture of the year and best director). Director Kathryn Bigelow’s win made her the first female ever to take best director honors at this awards ceremony – something that would too make history at the Academy Awards. She received a standing ovation from ex-husband and fellow nominee, Avatar’s James Cameron.

For the best actor category in a leading role, Jeff Bridges was bestowed the top honor. Fellow nominee George Clooney was absent as, according to his rep, he prepares to host the Jan. 22 Haiti telethon. Other winners were: Mo’nique for best supporting actress for her role in Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire; Inglourious Basterds’s Christoph Waltz for best supporting actor; The Hangover for best comedy movie; and Avatar for winning best action movie.

The star-studded night also saw Matt Damon and wife Luciana chatting with Morgan Freeman. Zac Efron and Zoe Saldana shared some banter as they presented best song together, and a newly single Susan Sarandon stepped up in a sexy cocktail dress to present the best picture award.
