great help for my son

Thursday
Nov 19,2009

My son is now looking for a new company. It’s not that he doesn’t like his current employer, but he heard about the huge benefits the other company offers to their employees. The company is actually considered the biggest bank in the country. And, they got the most impressive salary package for employees. That is why my son is attracted and tried his luck.

He submitted his resume personally to the regional HR head, but she immediately turned him down in that same moment. She said that my son doesn’t qualify to become their employee because he is a biology graduate and he doesn’t have any accounting subjects. Well, it is understandable. But, she told him that he will give him a chance the next time he will submit his resume granting he takes at least 20 or more units of accounting subjects.

My son then inquire to schools if they can help him take accounting subjects. Sad to say they refuse because they only offer regular subjects for regular students. If that is the case he will have to spend another four years in school since most of his subjects don’t match the subject line up for accountancy course.

conserving water during dishwashingHow many gallons of water do you take to wash your plate? Well, I’m sure many more than you might think if you let the water run while you are washing dishes. Many faucets use as much as 3-5 gallons per minute. Conserving water during this daily chore could save hundreds of gallons a month. Why don’t you try the following:

    • Fill the sink with soapy water instead of washing dishes with the water running.
    • Use smaller amounts of detergent so less water is needed for rinsing – you just need to have bubbles to cover the surface of the water – not enough to make a bubble beard.
    • You may let your dishes air dry in a rack. There are a lot of cool, durable designer dish racks that you can use.

Doing this will give you these benefits: You can preserve natural resources. The average water usage is between 80 and 100 gallons of water a day while two-thirds of the people in the world uses less than 13 gal/day. You can also save money on water and water heating utility bills. Install a faucet aerator in your kitchen and bathroom faucets and you could save 13% on your water bill. And, this will reduce pollution. Conserving water helps prevent municipal sewer systems from overflowing and pouring untreated sewage into lakes and rivers. So, think about it now!

I said earlier that my son is grounded, yet he still finds a way to go home late. His brother now has to make a move as to the items he can’t use at home such as his playstation 3, laptop, mp3 player and even the television. Of course, his cell phone is also confiscated. There is also a big reduction in his allowance for a month. And, we are fighting about that. He has lots of reasons why we should retract his punishment.

His father no longer wants to talk to him neither to look at him. He is already fed up giving advice, suggestions, reprimanding. My son is pushing his dad to the limit. He is also the reason his dad suffered mild stroke due to his acts. I am afraid that my husband will soon lose interest to his son.

I am trying my best to discipline him in a good way. But, it seemed it’s not working at all. I just wished he will mature soon and will let go of his immature, irresponsible ways of doing things.

I hate my fourth child. I shouldn’t feel this way because he came from me. However, he is getting into my nerves. There is this one time; he did not go home without any word. We have been calling and texting him yet no answer. The phone rings, then after a while it’s out of coverage. We feel so scared that something might have happened to him. Plus, he doesn’t have any emergency alert system that could notify us. We have no way of knowing where in the world he is.

The first hour the following day, I called his eldest sister. She might be able to locate her 15 year old brother. Since he is afraid to his sister, he picked up the phone and say that he slept in his friend’s house. Thankfully nothing happen to him.

But, he made us really mad, super mad. His dad just wants to punch him in the face as well as his elder brother. Good thing I hold them back or else he will surely loose his pretty face for a while. That kid made us all worry. He is so irresponsible. He can’t do even a simple thing like sending SMS to let us know of hir whereabouts. For now he is grounded with no allowance, no cell phone and so on. Even if that is the case, he still manages to go home very late. I do not know what to do with him anymore.

celebrating my 49th birthdayLast November 4, I celebrated my 49th birthday together with my family and my future son-in-law. There is no big celebration during that day. We just share a simple dinner and had few laughs. Despite that I am still happy I have reached 49.

At the end of the day, before going to bed, I thought about the next days to come. I am thankful of the many blessings I received and the strength God had given me to surpass all the hardships that come my way for the past years. Next year, I will turn to 50. Hopefully on that day I’ll be wearing diamonds like Pacquiao’s mother. Hehehe! Just joking! But, if destiny permits me, then there’s no doubt I’ll do it.

Little tips to have energy packed snacksA healthy snack at mid-morning and another one at mid-afternoon can bring you a burst of energy and cut back on the kind of cravings that lead to a fast food frenzy at your next break.

    • Cup of green or herbal tea can boost your energy and bring you long-term health benefits. Try specially formulated Ancient Treasures tea for balance at the workplace or Internal Cleanse tea to clear toxins.
    • Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, cranberries, goji berries, and cherries: rich in antioxidants, berries can also help remove toxic residue from the system, which is sometimes the cause of low energy.
    • Handful of nuts, seeds, and dried fruit is a grab-and-go treat that will ward off your energy slump. Seeds such as pumpkin, sesame, and sunflower seeds are full of magnesium; so are nuts, especially almonds, Brazil nuts, and cashews.
    • Instead of a bagel with cream cheese, have a slice of wheat toast with hummus. Beans like hummus can help you sustain your energy and prevent low blood sugar from setting in.
    • An apple is a heart-healthy instant snack that will feed your metabolism without overloading you with calories.

I hope this tips will help you make the most of your snacks. I invite you to visit often and share your own personal health and longevity tips with me.
