would make my yard cleaning easy

Thursday

Growing old is never easy for me. I should not whine about it because it’s my fault for not being health conscious on my younger years, but hey it is really difficult. When I turned 50 I can feel different types of aches; headaches, body ache and joint ache. I became very sensitive to the chores. Doing those things can easily trigger those aches that I feel. That’s why I have to be very careful so not to suffer in the end.

Before, I used to sweep the falling debris in our yard. But, I can’t easily do that now because my back hurts whenever I bow down. I’m really begging my family members to buy me redmax blower. I no longer need to bow down or exert effort in cleaning my yard. It would also benefit them because they won’t be hearing my complaints after. It’s a win-win situation for all of us. Hopefully they can also see that.

  • good thing I show it to her

My daughter and I have been talking a lot since she arrived here last Thursday. It’s been three months since the last time I saw her and I really missed her a lot. I felt there’s a lot of catching up to do and that’s what I’m doing. Our topics are endless from her childhood to our present experiences.

Well, I also showed her some of her stationery collections during her elementary and high school days. She’s supposed to use these beautiful and perfumy papers to write love letters and friendly letters, but it remains intact for years. It’s good I showed it to her because she said she can make use of it in the future. I’m not sure what for, but I hope she will use it because she’s been keeping them for years. I also don’t want to see those things go to waste that’s why I also keep them and wait for her to decide.

For many the drive for leadership is intuitive, something they are simply born with. They know how to inspire trust from those around them. Others may try to learn the characteristics of leadership by issuing orders and striving to be the best at what they do. But this does not necessarily imply effective leadership.

Leadership requires an understanding of the greater goals or purpose, as well as trust and example setting. As children, then natural leaders will be those who assume initiative whenever the opportunity arises. They will involve themselves in organizing local events for example, come up with ideas for fund raising, and are generally and helpfully creative.

Natural born leaders know how to make the best of what is around them, recognizing the skills of their peers and applying them in an effective and productive way. Such leaders will not necessarily have the best skill set of those around them, but will enable others to realize their potential and contribute more meaningfully to the whole.

It’s Father’s Day, but the father of this house is not around to celebrate with us. So, what’s the use of celebrating the day when he is not nearby? He is doing some work miles away from here and no one can complain when work is the rival. For that matter, we end up doing our normal Sunday activities. As for me, I decided to do some online stuff like updating this blog and surfing the web.

As time goes by, I came to read something about nikon spotting scope. It’s a small telescope that has been modified for use by day. They say it is easier or better to use it as compared to binoculars or a telescope because it is easier to carry than a telescope and provides for more magnification than binoculars. I also learned that it can be used on cameras; which is my best discovery for the day. Digiscoping is the term used for taking pictures with a camera attached to a spotting scope. Combining the use of a spotting scope with a digital camera, a photographer can attain a telephoto effect unachievable with most camera lens. It allows photographers to use extreme magnification for wildlife and other types of photography. I can’t wait to share the information to my eldest, who became a photo enthusiast.

The next time your small fry wants a party for his gang, don’t be scared of a rough house. Just answer, certainly. Then make it an early evening party, invite his friends and their parents. Include all small brothers and sisters. You will have quite a crowd, we will admit, but we can guarantee that if you plan your games right, you will have a party that will be long remembered not only by your young son but his friends and their parents as well.

The secret of the success of such a party is, of course, to have games that all ages can enter into, and you would be surprised how many such games there are. A good opener for such a party is the Nose Game. Hang an old sheet in an open doorway. Tacks stuck into the top of the doorjamb don’t show and will hold a substantial cord. Then fasten big safety pins into the top edge of the sheet and pin them over the cord. This makes a very satisfactory draw curtain. In the sheet make two slits, one big enough for an adult to stick his nose through, the other a suitable height for the shorter guests. (This curtain can be prepared ahead of time and drawn across the doorway for this one game.)

Gather all the women on the back side of the curtain. Then ask the men if they are sure they can recognize their own wives. They will be very confident of their ability.

Warn the children not to help their Dads. Then have each woman take a turn at sticking her nose through the slit in the sheet. It is surprisingly difficult for a man, no matter how long he has been married, to recognize his wife by her nose. After the choosing is completed let the women join the men who have claimed them. Most of the men will have some other fellow’s wife.

Then hustle the kids behind the sheet. Make the men pick their own kids don’t let the women help. Mothers have washed those faces so often they are better choosers than the men. One father of four children at a recent party of ours wound up with claiming only one of his four offspring the other three proved to belong to some of the other guests. But then no one had his own family intact. (more…)
