I have to give
deep thoughts to what I found yesterday. For those who know me, I love to take naps; one in the morning and one in the afternoon and that is every day. But, it is not just nap it’s mostly deep sleep because it takes at least an hour and half before I wake up.
However, scientists have discovered in a new scientific investigation that older people who tend to nap a lot are at a higher risk of developing type II diabetes. The investigation, which was conducted in China, also showed that excessive sleeping causes impaired fasting glucose. The most statistically-significant correlations were recorded in people who napped four to six times per week. They had a 36 percent higher chance of developing diabetes type II than control groups, PhysOrg reports.
People who slept for short periods of time every day of the week exhibited a 28 percent increase in their risk of developing the metabolic disorder. In type II diabetes, the body becomes unable to metabolize the hormone insulin, which is crucially important for breaking down glucose (sugars). Without this control mechanism, the chemicals accumulate, leading to disastrous side-effects. The researchers behind the study say that they controlled for possible influences going the other way, as in if diabetes caused excessive sleepiness, and argue that they found no such correlation. It would indeed appear that excessive napping during the daytime causes the terrible disease.
I guess I would have to teach myself not to sleep during daytime. I fear that I might develop serious health problems if I continue to take naps every day.
Dedicating an hour a day to exercise isn’t realistic right now; you can still stay in shape by doing the bare minimum. If you squeeze in a 10-minute workout every single morning, you’ll accrue the equivalent of more than three 20-minute workouts per week. And fitting in that extra 10 minutes of activity every day for a year will not only boost your health, but can lead to a 5-pound weight loss. So kick-start your day with these toning exercises.
I’m tired bearing my aching ankle pain for at least a week now. My daughter is telling me to visit a doctor to have it checked. But, I refused for some reason that I don’t want to divulge. It’s true that I don’t know the cause of this pain. However, I’m suspecting that it is my weight that cost so much trouble.
Ow well, I guess I’ll continue to knock down my weight a little more. Despite the fact that I am already struggling so hard to keep it off, it feels like its not working. I just wish that shedding weight is as easy as gaining. Sadly it’s not. And for my age, it would be too impossible without a little help from products.
That’s why I’m trying to get the right information on the products I used. For now, I am looking into the ephedra weight loss product. I’ve read in a review once that it offers positive benefit to its users. However, I’ve also bump across the negative side of it. So, to make a conclusion I have to dig more information before purchasing one for myself.
According to experts, smoke exposure during pregnancy damages a baby’s blood pressure control, which may explain why such babies’ risk of cot death is higher. In fact, maternal smoking remains one of the biggest risk factors for cot death.
Sweden’s Karolinksa Institute teams found smoke-exposed babies had abnormal surges in blood pressure, even when sleeping undisturbed in their cots. These surges put extra demand on the heart, making it pump faster and harder. This study suggests damage to the circulation may be a factor in sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), although it set out to look at the effects of smoking on the newborn rather than cot death.
Dr Gary Cohen and his team studied 36 newborn babies – 17 of whom had mothers who smoked during the pregnancy. When they examined the babies they found the ones that had been exposed to cigarette smoke showed abnormal heart rate and blood pressure responses. And these abnormal responses got worse throughout their first year of life.
I’m a mother of five and almost all my kids suffer from pimples and acne. Of course, as a mother I always freak out whenever I see my kids with that. I know their looks affect their confidence as well as their social interaction. I tried to suggest the use of astringent to my eldest. But, instead of doing well towards her face, she looks like a meat that has been stripped off skin. Good thing she was able to stop immediately before the substance harms her skin even further.
From that time, I never suggest anything to my children next to her. I’m afraid to cause damage to their skin even further. But, when I found the vitamins for acne I become interested again. However, I won’t fall victim again. I will read and read everything I need to know before giving it to my kids.
For my age, it is no longer a question if I have wrinkles or I don’t have. When I reach the age of 40, I already expect that soon my face will turn out to crumpled, wrinkled and whatever you want to call it. Hahaha! And, it materializes as I reach the age of 50.
The fold, ridge or crease of my skin is becoming more and more obvious. Well, it’s not a problem anyway since I acknowledge the facts of aging. I’m really getting old and I can’t stop that. I’m no longer in the age of beauty. Hahaha! That is why I need all the help I can get from one or more anti aging product. It may not stop the aging process, but it will delay the results of it. So, I still have many years to look good and feel good.
