organic fruit leatherAre you into S and M? (Snacks and munchies, that is.) If your answer is “Yes” then crack open a package of organic fruit leather – it’s a healthy way to satisfy your sweet tooth while you’re at school, on the trails, or tied up in your favourite underground dungeon. Try this one:

  • Clif Kid Twisted Fruit – four tasty flavors of fruit ropes from the folks who brought you Clif Bars.
  • FruitaBü Smoooshed Fruit – widely available, chewy goodness; five flavors .
  • Bear Fruit Bars – thicker and heartier fruit leather option, in apple, apple blueberry, and apple raspberry.

Here are some benefits; it is much healthier than masochism. A nationwide study found that 62% of the people don’t eat fruit on a daily basis. These snacks deliver a small dose of nutrients, corn syrup-free. This is also less of an earth-lashing. Fruit leather is more concentrated than fresh fruit, so the pesticides are more concentrated too. Stick with organic. And you can satisfy your sweets fetish.

Drinking Linked to HypertensionAs the holiday’s approaches, a study alerts drinkers that drinking outside of meals may be setting them up for high blood pressure.

The study, published in the journal Hypertension, has shown that consuming alcohol mostly without   food is a significant risk factor for developing hypertension. The effect was present even in people with light-to-moderate alcohol intake, according to lead researcher.

These findings support the notion that in addition to amount, the way in which alcohol is consumed   may have important implications for health and in particular, for cardiovascular disease. Therefore, this point out that drinking without food may counteract any benefit to the cardiovascular system associated with moderate alcohol consumption.

Keeping Fit While Pregnant Walking And Swimming Through The TrimestersExercising while you’re expecting is important for a number of reasons. You’ll sleep better, avoid fatigue, and enjoy an easier pregnancy. There are many types of activities you can do to stay in shape as a mother-to-be. Among them, walking and swimming are ideal. Both are cardiovascular, which means they will improve your body’s use of oxygen; that’s good for both you and your little one. Plus, both are low-impact. You’ll enjoy developing muscle tone and keeping excess weight off while avoiding putting undue stress on your joints. Below, we’ll provide some tips that you can use to walk and swim to stay fit throughout your pregnancy.

    The First Three Months

If you don’t normally exercise, start slowly. It’s less exerting to swim, so you can safely do so for a half hour each day. A lot of moms-to-be enjoy doing it in the morning because the weightless sensation of being in the water helps to curb nausea. Plus, working out in the morning gives you an energetic boost to get through the rest of the day.

When you walk during your first trimester, you’ll need to take more care, especially if you’re doing so in the sun. Use sunscreen, wear a hat, and have plenty of drinking water available. wear loose fitting maternity clothes or extra comfort. If your body suffers dehydration, it can trigger contractions. If you rarely exercised before getting pregnant, start with a 20-minute lazy stroll. Then, increase your speed as your body grows accustomed to the activity. (more…)

tips to get good sleepAre you getting very, very sleepy? You will be if you follow this tip. Conventional anti-insomnia pills work, but if you don’t want to lose sleep over side effects and potentially addictive ingredients, induce sleep-nosis with natural remedies instead.

    • Yoga Journal – yoga poses that help combat insomnia.
    • Schiff Knock-Out – triple-threat combo of known sleep aids melatonin and valerian, plus the calming tea extract theanine.
    • Bach Rescue Sleep – a few drops of this flower-based concoction before bedtime promotes relaxation.
    • Yogi Tea Bedtime Tea – sweet-tasting, with sleep-inducing organic chamomile, passionflower, skullcap, and valerian.
    • Before bedtime, avoid caffeine (at least 4 hours prior), big meals, and vigorous exercise but do exercise earlier in the day.

Doing these stuff will give you these benefits: A healthier sleep trance. These picks are non-addictive and don’t have the serious side effects that prescription aids do (such as reduced sex drive, sleepwalking, and vomiting – awesome). Another thing, this is an unconscious planet-helping. Fewer synthetic chemicals in your pills equal fewer that will eventually find their way into nature. And lastly, more cash for swinging pocket watches. Herbal options are cheaper than prescription sleep aids; 30-day supplies of prescription medicine can set you back $137 vs. less than $20 for natural remedies. So, what are you waiting for change it now!

  • basic info about liposuction

basic info about liposuctionBasically, liposuction removes fat from your body using suction. During liposuction, small, thin, blunt-tipped tubes (cannula) are inserted through tiny cuts in the skin. Fat is suctioned out through these tubes as the doctor moves the tubes around under the skin to target specific fat deposits.

It is important that this procedure should be done only by a doctor who has special training in liposuction and surgery of the skin and in how to respond to complications during surgery. You will also be at less risk for complications if liposuction is not done at the same time as other cosmetic procedures.

If you are trying to lose weight, liposuction is not a substitute for exercise and a balanced diet. In fact, most cosmetic surgeons agree that the best candidates for liposuction are healthy people who are at or close to a healthy weight but who have stubborn fat deposits that do not respond to exercise. The results of liposuction can be long-lasting if you exercise regularly, eat a balanced diet, and maintain a healthy weight after the procedure. When people gain weight after having liposuction, the fatty bulges that were removed often return.
