happy with my weight loss progress

Thursday
Dec 10,2009

Even though I feel a bit disappointed about the negative comments from our visitors, I’ll just think about the positive side of it. It’s considered a challenge for me rather than ridicule. Another thing is that I was able to appreciate my weight loss. I have seen my husband’s sister-in-law who balloon after several years. I can clearly say that I am a success. Last few months I am bigger than her. But it’s the other way around this time even though the best fat burner I requested from my daughter did not materialize.

It only goes to show that I still have the chance to get my desired weight in the long run. I just need to continue the discipline I have now. I don’t want to look like my husband’s sister-in-law again. I’ve been through that and I have enough.

Tips to Stop Emotional EatingMany people are struggling with their weight, especially those people who use food to deal with stress and the problems of life. From the time you’re a baby through childhood, whenever you’re unhappy, someone soothes you with a cookie. We’ve been pairing emotions with eating for so long that it’s little wonder we know anything else. Food can create soothing changes in brain chemistry, and even the simple act of chewing will increase endorphins and ease your pain. So here are some tips to stop emotional eating and finally drop that excess weight for good without even trying.

    • During down times, remember good times: Stick old photos in albums instead of eating chocolates.
    • Comfort yourself with a new pair of shoes. They’ll look better on you than the extra weight you’ll gain from a Boston cream doughnut.
    • Keep a little project near the TV to avoid eating during commercial breaks. This one will really pay off.

Little tips to have energy packed snacksA healthy snack at mid-morning and another one at mid-afternoon can bring you a burst of energy and cut back on the kind of cravings that lead to a fast food frenzy at your next break.

    • Cup of green or herbal tea can boost your energy and bring you long-term health benefits. Try specially formulated Ancient Treasures tea for balance at the workplace or Internal Cleanse tea to clear toxins.
    • Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, cranberries, goji berries, and cherries: rich in antioxidants, berries can also help remove toxic residue from the system, which is sometimes the cause of low energy.
    • Handful of nuts, seeds, and dried fruit is a grab-and-go treat that will ward off your energy slump. Seeds such as pumpkin, sesame, and sunflower seeds are full of magnesium; so are nuts, especially almonds, Brazil nuts, and cashews.
    • Instead of a bagel with cream cheese, have a slice of wheat toast with hummus. Beans like hummus can help you sustain your energy and prevent low blood sugar from setting in.
    • An apple is a heart-healthy instant snack that will feed your metabolism without overloading you with calories.

I hope this tips will help you make the most of your snacks. I invite you to visit often and share your own personal health and longevity tips with me.

Little Tips to Improve Your MemoryIf you’re experiencing less serious memory loss, like having a few more senior moments lately or you are more forgetful than usual, try these memory-improving tips and tricks. (These tips and tricks for less serious memory loss. If you think you might be experiencing a more serious kind, see your physician.)

Don’t forget to be aware – we do so many things automatically: We come home, we throw the keys down, we sit down on the couch, we flip on the television — and many of these actions are done without thinking. Then, the next morning, halfway out the front door, we may suddenly realize we have no idea where the keys are. This exercise is a helpful memory device: Becoming aware and be observant of everything. Wherever you put your keys, be aware of it. Be conscious of every little action that you do. And as you’re doing each thing, you can reinforce it by making a mental note to yourself: “I just put my keys on the kitchen table.” When you do this on a daily basis, this will increase your ability to remember things. Sometimes it is not so much that you’re aging, it’s just that you’re too busy to pay attention.

    happy with my size

After losing few kilos, I feel much lighter. Now I can walk straight without hurting my ankles. Plus, it is cost efficient because I no longer have to buy new pants since I can fit into my old ones. Another thing that makes me happy is the fact that I look good in clothes as compared to my old body.

My daughter shops me around as her present for my upcoming birthday. I realized trimming my weight is very good. Now I fit to 2XL clothes. If you think that is still big, well, think twice. I used to buy 3XL or 4XL clothes. That is why for me 2XL is already a big thing for two months of dieting.

I guess the best fat burners are responsible eating and commitment to weight loss goal. That is the formula I use and I’m still reaping its benefits.

  • achieving lesser weight

    Saturday
    Oct 24,2009

Like I said before, I am really serious in losing weight due to health reasons. I’m old enough to say that I want it to look good. That kind of stuff is no longer appropriate for my age. Oldies like me no longer wished that. I want to achieve lesser weight because of the pain in my joints whenever I walk.

Little by little, I’m already seeing and feeling success in my goal. There’s already space in my pants and I can breathe better than before that means I really lose weight. Yepey! But, as of now it’s just a little success. I can still get injuries if I run in treadmills or in the streets. So, that is a no, no for now. Probably in the future I will for a healthier me.
