Key to Ageing Process - Skin ToneIt is unreasonable for me to say that I don’t want to grow old because I am already old. Now that I am in my early 50s, I can’t seem to stop the aging process. Anti-wrinkle creams don’t lend much help for me now. But, I learn something about aging that has nothing to do with wrinkles.

New studies have revealed that it’s actually skin tone that gives away one’s age and not wrinkles alone. Two researchers though, Dr. Bernard Fink, evolutionary psychologist at the University of Goettingham, Germany, and Dr. Paul Matts, research fellow at Procter & Gamble, have focused their study exclusively on how skin tone can reveal a woman’s true age even in those cases when there’s not a single wrinkle in sight.

As we age, our skin tone becomes more uneven, which is actually the thing that gives us away. We may like it or not we acquire concentrations of haemoglobin and melanin, and shadows due to lines and wrinkles, and it is this contrast that gives a major cue to our perception of age.

Whereas the problem of wrinkles can be tackled in a variety of ways, from massages to anti-wrinkle devices and creams, and, of course, cosmetic surgery, the issue of skin tone can also be controlled. Plus, it’s not even that expensive to do so because all it entails is to pay more attention to exposure to sun rays, thus make sure the cumulative negative effects on the skin are to a lesser degree. Skin never forgets – chronic sun damage is cumulative. If you are interested in looking good for your age and having a blemish-free complexion, moderating sun damage is the biggest thing you can do – through changing your behavior and using sun cream with an SPF of at least 15 and both UVA and UVB protection.

a way to correct my visionFor so many years now, I have been bothered by my visual problems, can’t read small prints. That’s why I am using eyeglasses every now and then. The thing is, I always misplace my glasses reason enough to increase stressed when I’m searching. Also, I’m irritated to continually replacing broken glasses. Plus, wearing it makes me look too old for my age. Those are just few of my complaints over my eyes.

That’s why I’m currently thinking of other alternatives and that includes undergoing Laser Eye Surgery. I’ve just learned that there is a way to correct my vision without using eyeglasses at the Laser Eye Surgery Boston website.

  • good thing being a blogger

good thing being a bloggerI really do appreciate the fact that I am a blogger. Aside from sharing my life to the world, I also learn so many things that a plain housewife would not know on regular days. How would I know that there is a more advance teeth correcting tool aside from metal braces. Of course, I would know that if it has a television commercial as I only watch tv. I am not a reading type of person because magazines and books are expensive.

My discovery of invisalign is from a blogger that has a link going to Yogi dental website an Orange NJ invisalign clinic. It is such a wonderful learning as I can suggest it to my daughter who doesn’t have a perfect set of teeth. Actually most of my kids don’t have perfect teeth, but my third child has the most serious case. But, with the help of this product, I am sure she will have a perfect smile in the future.

smoke harms babies blood pressure; study showsAccording to experts, smoke exposure during pregnancy damages a baby’s blood pressure control, which may explain why such babies’ risk of cot death is higher. In fact, maternal smoking remains one of the biggest risk factors for cot death.

Sweden’s Karolinksa Institute teams found smoke-exposed babies had abnormal surges in blood pressure, even when sleeping undisturbed in their cots. These surges put extra demand on the heart, making it pump faster and harder. This study suggests damage to the circulation may be a factor in sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), although it set out to look at the effects of smoking on the newborn rather than cot death.

Dr Gary Cohen and his team studied 36 newborn babies – 17 of whom had mothers who smoked during the pregnancy. When they examined the babies they found the ones that had been exposed to cigarette smoke showed abnormal heart rate and blood pressure responses. And these abnormal responses got worse throughout their first year of life.

consider moving to new houseIn line to the discovery of the leaking pipe, I am already looking for a new house to rent. I thought it would be much easier for us to rent a new place. And it’s a good way for a fresh start as well. But, before I looked further in the web, I found the word loft. I am not so familiar with this type of home.

Basically, lofts like that of lofts Petersburg va can be an upper story or attic or basement in a building, directly under the roof. Alternatively, it can be a loft apartment, which is a large adaptable open space either created or converted for residential use.

Well, sounds a good option, but it doesn’t fit me well. I am used to having a backyard where I can grow flowers, vegetables and so on. It’s also the place for my dogs to play almost every day except during rainy days. Even if that is the case, I would still consider getting one if there is a good space available. We can do something about the dogs playground and the garden, if we are already there. Hehehe!

  • best way to get a degree

best way to get a degreeI am happy to announce that my niece is finally going back to school. She broke the news when she visited us two days after New Year. I just forget to blog it because I get so busy after that day. I am really happy as she has been out of school for about eight years to earn a living. Now she has a chance to get a college degree.

Her father or my brother promised to send her to school, that means paying every expenses. But, I think resigning from her job is not a good idea. For one thing, she’s already a regular employee with regular benefits. After 10 years or so, she will get claims for being a loyal employee. Also, she’s already used to having her own money and for sure she will feel awkward to ask for allowance.

For me, I think it’s best to get online degrees rather than go back to traditional schools. There are a number of best online degrees available these days. This way she won’t have to leave her job. She will be able to earn a living while studying. It may not be an easy thing to do, but her salary will assure her of being independent and an allowance each week.
